Cool stuff is happening everyday in so many aspects of our businesses, but no amount of money can replace receiving positive feedback from clients, athletes and coaches from all over the world.
After reading the email last night I could not fall asleep. I was tossing and turning with a huge smile.
So I was digging through my files and found an article that my good friend Tom Gifford wrote on the style of training my athletes and clients do.
Here ya go:)
Functional Training, Barry Lovelace, and Hammering Your Pecs on the Bench Press
Today we have a special guest blog post by a good friend of mine named Tom Gifford and is the author of www.TheGreatCardioMyth.com. He has put together an article below about how my style of training differs from that of the “traditional” exercise that we have always been taught. Enjoy!
Finally, the Fastpitch Softball Pitching Workout that one professional pitcher noticed SAME DAY results with is ready.
Check out the mini-commercial below:
Thanks and good luck with everything!
Below are the questions sent to Olympian Charlene Johnson-Tagaloa. More info Charlene at bottom of post.
The first question comes from Mark:
“I am coaching a 7th grade volleyball team for the first time. I have some coaching experience(CYO-3yrs and asst JO coach for one year). I am trying to determine if I should teach the W or U approach for receiving a serve. This is wil be my first time installing the offense and defense and the W seems like simpler method to teach. I know that I need to focus on passing and serving so any drills that would keep that process fun would also be appreciated.
Below is a video showing exactly how to set up stations on the court and achieve fabulous results. Be creative, have fun and most importantly..BE SAFE!
Before you watch video, please keep in mind that the special for Volleyball Team Training ends tomorrow at midnight. So if you are having trouble coming up with your own exercises for the circuit style I show, this may be a very good alternative for you.

OK…I know you are all trying hard to ‘get in shape’ for the season.
So what you are you doing?
Well, what AREN’T you doing?
Are you too busy working on drills and NOT training?
I know the answer and I see it.
There are tons of camps, clinics, off season practices and what do most of them have in common?
Well, in my humble opinion I see mostly ‘drills’ and very, very little training. Except for the camp I am at every year
