Starbucks Coffee and our competition
· Comments
Have you heard?
Consumer Reports tested 19 ground coffees and reported that pricey Starbucks Coffee Colombia medium didn’t even place among the top regular coffees!
How can that be?
It is so expensive it HAS to be better..it HAS to be..
NOT!
My personal experience with Starbucks is that it always tastes ‘burnt’ and it is wayyyyy too strong. The other funny experience that I always find is how high one’s nose goes in the air when they enter and leave a Starbucks! LOL..Not everyone, cause I know you may go there (
), but come on, admit it…isn’t it funny how some people get this ego about them when they purchase the expensive coffee at Starbucks? The chest comes out, the nose goes up and the ‘look at me’ appearance takes over….LOL..I think it is hilarious, especially since it is crappy coffee! (IMO)
I can also attest to the fact the 8 O’Clock Coffee is fab! They have it down the street from the gym at D&D Market and it is good stuff..and cheap
So what does Starbucks and my competition (HUGE gyms with Cherry lockers, $7 million dollar athletic performance facilities etc) have in common?
Marketing…it all comes down to getting YOU to believe they are the best by telling you they are and by charging you more as well as offer ‘big fancy’ facilities. So big that it is impossible to use everything there.
Starbucks is very good at marketing as is my competition. If you feel you are being ’sold’ to just to get healthy…RUN AWAY! They tug at your ‘heart strings’ to get you to sign cause it’s about one thing..’SALES’.
I always recommend that you watch out for marketing tactics. If it something seems ‘too good to be true’ ignore it.
So this Saturday afternoon post is to reinforce that the biggest, fanciest and most expensive products / services are not the best as we have seen with Starbucks and also with the members who come back to us after taking the others for a test drive
Have an awesome weekend!
